i just painted a truck and most of it is perfect/glossy. a few spots are dull. so is it possibble to just re-spray the dull areas or will it cause overspray to get on everything?
and any advice on dust? theres some dust in my paint job.

If you don't shoot single stage wet enough it will dull and you’re not going to be able to wet sand it out. Re tape and shoot entire panel over. Now if it’s just some overspray on partially cured panel you should be able to wet sand and buff.

All flat or dull paint will sand and buff to a shine, you do repaint it mask off every thing else before shooting it. Yes any shiny or dull paint must be sanded or scuffed before reshot or it will peel off, hope it's a solid color because single stage metallic is a bitch. As for your dirt use good filters in ventalation, wet down shop floor to keep dust down
