Default Fiberglass Hood Bubbling???

I am ready to paint my hood and i started sanding out noticable bubbling on the leading edge of the hood?(as if moisture was under the gel coat of the fiberglass) wondered if anyone else ran into this problem and found a successful way to fix it without the bubbling reaccuring?

It's air pockets that get trapped in the cheap fiberglass working thier way out. Just take and cut them open, bevel out edges and fill with smc for a stock hood or fiberglass for an aftermarket hood. That will take care of those bubbles as long as no more pop up you'll be good to go
