is there something I should do with this? other than having it fixed because I don't want to spend that much right now.
btw I didn't do this, I just bought the car and the guy said someone hit him in the parking lot.

If you're not planning on fixing it right away, I'd say at least clean the metal up, get rid of the rust and put a sealer on the bare metal and a little over the paint clearcoat. Keep it from rusting anymore. my $ .02
yes but even on the seam you could make it look a bit better then it does now,,, but i wouldnt pay to get it done if it wouldnt come out 100%.
I would remove your interior on that side and use your hand to pop it out or a small block of wood and a few taps with the hammer,,,, dont beat on it or youll strech the metal worse. If you cant reach that area from inside try wood and a bar,, never let the bar itself push the metal out.
If this works or not you will wanna cover up that bare metal like someone here said.
