Getting spoiler painted
Getting spoiler painted I just picked up an LT1 SS spoiler and need to have it painted. I was wondering if anyone had a fair estimate of what this should cost. A quick search here revealed $100-200 so I'm basically planning to pay somewhere around $200. Does this seem accurate?
Also, I obviously need to remove the paint (or crayon, I can't quite tell
) that's on it now so I was wondering if I should just do this myself to save some coin or let the body shop do it? What grit sand paper? Should I even go so far as to put primer on?
Lastly, would it be possible to fill the line that runs down the middle of the spoiler where the two pieces meet? How much extra would that probably run?

Assuming the crayon you mentioned are the salvage yard numbers they will come off with paint thinner, and they may bleed back if sanded off. The line can be filled in and depending on what color your car is I would charge around $300 to do it all.
