I think you may get a better response if you post a pic of something that is already painted the blue you are looking at.

oh, didnt see the poll at first. i voted for the color matched top. trans ams, unlike camaros, look better with the top the same color as the body.
but like alex said, i think you should post a pic of the color, i'm not sure what that is. But either way i know that i'd never repaint a car and do white. definitely do something different

seems it's a toyota color from looking around. I like the color and found a pic that is probably most like real life.
although to throw in my two cents, laser blue metallic is one of my favorite colors right now. Very deep blue in overcast, with a little pop of purple in direct sunlight. Would look very good on a Firebird.

it is a toyota color 
it has purple pearl sw p25, and red metallic. i like the laser blue but the ONLY way to get it to be the way i want it is bare metal with a super thin coat which isnt possible on a car that has body filler in a few places and lots of plastic parts. so i chose this color after seeing a tacoma that color. i wish i had photoshop to do a firebird in this color with my wheels... hint hint

i miss my NBM now that my cars been painted gunmetal. i was jackin around with the hatch area and found a little piece of the unfaded color and about shot myself for changin it was so pretty.
as far as the lighter blues i love them because a buddy of ours has a super clean 99 t/a that i think is medium blue metallic or whatever its called and its is crazy sexy
and yea color matchin the top on a t/a is a must
