Default touch up paint is pretty crappy, can I "smooth" it out?

So I got a pretty big maybe nickel sized area where my clear coat cracked off. I put a few layers of touch up paint on there to protect the clear coat from further damage and to fix the area that was scratched. Though it looks better now than it did before, it now has that "lumpy" sort of cheap look to it, is there anyway I can smooth that area out to make it look some what decent? Thanks for any help

you can wetsand and buff it, but be sure the clear coat around the spot is strong enough to handle it. Or you can tape off all of the area around the spot.

if you dont have a buffer, theres a great kit out there in your auto store, comes ina box i think its called Quixx or something, has sand paper to smooth, then two tubes of stuff to buff it smooth again. i use it for key marks and you could never tell....
