the pic of the hood is before wet sanding... as soon as i get a full detail done to the car, getting the rest of the compound off i will do a nice photo shoot. the hood is fiberglass also. not an original ss hood. the aftermarket fit kinda nice. will have better pics soon.

hope you guys like it. worked really hard on the prep and im happy with how it turned out. 18 and broke now cause of this paint job lol going to school and planning to do my interior and stereo next.

i used ppg for the nbm and house of color for the hotrod black im not sure what kind of clear was used, the owner had new clear so i didnt need to buy any. and really all i payed for was paint and materials.
I ask because I was considering doing this sometime next year and yours looks super clean. Just trying to get a gauge of how much I should be expecting to spend if I can prep myself.

for the gallon of ppg nbm alone it was $425 the hot rod black was $85 for the quart clear and hardner would be anywhere from $150-250 depending on how many coats of clear you want. everything with labor would run you $2,500-3,000. me since i knew the guy and did all the prep work and sanding and all that i only paid 1,200 in materials and gave him a little extra for letting me use his shop.

I REALLY like it man....well done! I'm partial to NBM myself....I do think you shouldn't run black wheels against NBM...but I know that's kinda hard to change with the c5z's..espcially with rivets. I painted my zr1's graphite metallic and it turned out looking great for contrast.
