Default Paint problem

I am having an issue with the paint on the roof panel between the ttops and rear hatch. The paint is bubbling in a line on each side of the panel and some kind of oil residue is seeping through the paint in some areas. I took it to a body shop and they had no idea what is causing it. I need people who know what they are talking about on this issue to respond. Please no ignorant responses like I should go to another body shop. I need to know what you had done and to prevent it in the future. Also how much did it cost you in the end. I have a 2001 trans am ws6.

Read the sail panel recall thread in this forum.. It's the glue used on the panel causing the bubbling..

Default bubbling paint...

Its not actually the paint bubbling. its the top separating. I am a painter in the baltimore area, as far as i know there are not many tops left from GM and to sand down the problem only makes it worse after a few months.
