i dont think mine will fade. mine was mixed to be a 1 stage paint. so i wont have any mid coat. since its suppose to be a 3 stage, mine might come out looking like a custom color anyway which is fine to me. i was actually wondering if the paint color would come out looking different if i use light grey primer instead of the light red primer? or would it be the same?

If it's covered, no the red primer will make it cover faster, but I would suggest sealing it anyway. If you use a dark sealer it might affect the color more, but it'll make it more dark.that single stage isn't going to look as nice as a 2 stage, because a metallic single stage doesnt have the depth.solid colors are a little diff though they can look just as good as a base/clear.

Doing this real soon, for those who like the color.

Gonna spray the red primer today. Should have it painted within this week or next week.

Decided to just do the whole car.. including roof, mirrors wing, etc.

Is that paint in the interior?
We need a lot more pictures so we can truly see the outcome but yea I am definitely jealous of the workspace.

what do you mean by "Is that paint in the interior?"? i taped the interior off with plastic and tape. i didnt do all of the bottom of the door jam because the black doormat panel hides that area. but every area of the interior that shows once put back together is painted. did the door jams, trunk area, engine bay, door hinges, inside of the doors

i just finished so i'm gonna let it dry over night. and i might take the newspaper off the windows tomorrow.

i didnt want to do the wing and hood at the same time because i was afraid of overspray getting on the car if i painted beside it. i want to my 4" glasstek hood, paint the stock hood (in case i sell the car and keep the hood for future use), my wings west ground effects (i can always remove them if i dont like them), door handles, mirrors. and i want remove the wiper cowl and paint it gloss black and probably paint the stock rims black. thought about doing redfire around the lip of the rim and the inner part black but that'll be hard.

should i paint the brakes too match the car?

I think painting the sail black looks nice leave the mirrors the color of the car due to the way the camaro fenders come up to them, tinted windows n some nice wheels. N you'll have a nice ride!More pics when your done.

To each his own, I catch hell for driving a purple 4th gen. If you dont like the color its just time and money waisted. You can change it at anytime.

I HATE that color with a passion. Among the worst shades of red IMO. It screams "secretary/high school girl" at the top of its lungs IMO.
i agree i hate that color

didnt have the lighting that i should have so i missed some spots and need to repaint it. i have a enough to repaint it but i decided to buy Colorado Red. i know someone with a Sport Trac Adrenalin and i love that color on it.

i think red with a black wing would look good. thought about painting the Wings West ground fx i have black too. seen a green z28 with black ground fx and it looked decent. i think a red z28 can pull it off better.
