Here is what I've used for years, Goo Gone. You can get it almost anywhere, your local drug store (CVS, Walgreens, etc), hardware (Ace, Home Depot, Lowes,etc), WalMart, K-Mart, etc.
Squirt a little Goo Gone around the emblem, let it soak in for a few minutes to loosen the adhesive, then use a thin string like fishing line or even dental floss to get behind the emblem and using a back & forth sawing motion, finish cutting the emblem loose. Once the emblem is off, use more Goo Gone to remove the remaining adhesive residue.

3m makes a stripe wheel that is rubber and fits in a drill chuck. It won't hurt the paint if you don't bear down on it just let the wheel do its job. I use one every day in the body shop
