Default Amazing

Man did I get lucky!

I put an ad in C.L. to sell my LT-1 and the guy who wanted it turned out to be a hobby painter.
He said he could paint my car inexpensively if I wanted it, I thought about it a couple hours and made a deal with him to paint my car for the motor!

(Huge Risk on my part but I met the guy in person and wasnt too worried.)

Decided on Hugger Orange w/ black deck stripes painted on.
Next weekend, I helped put my car on his trailer and watched it drive away.

I was comforted over the next few weeks by pictures of my car being transormed from a typical (boring) looking car into a screaming Orange Machine!

Finally got the car back last week (took less than a month -which is about what I figured to begin with).

Came out BEAUTIFUL! - God was Smiling on me for Sure!

I'm suprised no one told me how "stupid" it was to let my car go like that.
For those of you thinking that:
Believe me, I've heard all the stories and had a few worries myself at first.
I had met the guy face to face and instantly had a Gut feeling he was Okay.
Also, he just wanted to buy my LT-1
I suggested the swap for paint work.
When it was done, I kinda felt like I took advantage of the guy for all the incredible work he did for just an LT-1
Anyone in the Salem Oregon area needing a CUSTOM paint job cheap -I will hook you up!

Looks good, expect for the orange roof... he even painted the t-top bar... at least paint the t-top bar, and the little sail panels black.

Yeah, the roof might have been a mistake.
I asked him to paint it orange rather than leave it black.

May go back to black, not 100% sure yet

Default Build under :Lightweight Street Racers Social Group

Crate motor's in the garage

I began stockpiling parts about a year ago.
Am converting a 95 Z/28 to an LS6 car.

I got one of the last Scoggins-Dickey Crate LS6's and will do full bolt-ons for 480+ R.W.H.P (following 00Firehawk's build thread but with better heads and intake).
May go forged on the bottom end before it ever gets installed, but not sure yet.

Parts include:

Thunder Racing TrRaptor cam (236/242 .615/.615 111+2)
Comp Springs
F.A.S.T. 102 intake,fuel rail, and TB
40 Lb. low-impedance injectors
A.R.P. rod bolts
Kook's 1-7/8' longtube w/ Y-pipe
All the normal BMR stage 2 suspension stuff (except K-member and A arms)
(Still need: )

Trick Flow or MAST heads
Built T-56
Harness
Stand alone fuel mngt system (not sure)
BMR K-member and A arms

I gutted the interior and am shooting for 2800 lb. weight (driver not included)

Anyone interested can follow this build (Pics will be added as work progresses)

at the Lightweight Street Racers social group (under my user name)
