Time to paint the block... how to remove old paint?
I've got a cast iron block and the stock black paint is starting to flake and rust... while i've got the motor out i want to paint it... should i strip ALL the paint off? or just use CLR or something to take the rust off and chip away as much of the old paint as possible, scuff it up and paint over?
i've heard dish soap/hot water is good for removing the grease too.
Any advise would be appriciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

purple power not diluted and rinse with power washer then a few different wire brushes on a drill. should take it down to bare then paint.
remember to spray the internals liberally with WD-40 BEFORE taping up to paint. dont want that **** to get rusty
