Once the wiper arms are off, its just a matter of popping out a few of those plastic pop-in inserts along the lower section. The cowl is in two pieces. You may have to remove the rubber piece that runs along the bottom edge of the cowl as well so you can take the pieces off separately.

Also, once you get the cowl to lift up, remove the windshield washer hoses from the sprayers. They just pull off, but don't wiggle them too much or the nozzle can break. Just pull straight off.

Well next time i will leave it to the professionals wrecked the cowl and cracked the windshield .Anyone know how much a windshield is?Still have not got the pass side wiper off 2hrs and counting.WOW this is a BITCH!!!Putting the engine is wasnt as hard wtf oh well

Just curious...did you paint it gloss or satin? How much time does it spend in the sun? My satin job still looks good, but I also keep my car garaged and is just a weekend driver most of the time.

a windshield from Pilkington (formerly LOF, the OE mfgr) shouldnt be much over $200 installed

Safelite replaced mine where I work while I was inside working. I think it was like $150s. It's good glass too.
