Hi everyone, I got a new front lip for my car and I heard that gel coating it is important, but it nearly doubled the price. Does anyone have experience with painting a part that was not gel coated? Is it worth the extra $ to get the coating (money is tight for me right now)?

 

I forgot to mention I am getting it painted...that is why I am wondering if this will work
