Question Can sand blasted glass be polished back out?

If a person were to have a design sand blasted / etched into the glass on a vehicle, could it be repaired or would it require replacement?

yes, it can be repaired

However, the amount of time and material needed would far exceed the cost of a new piece

something else to keep in mind too - if you sand/polish just one section of a large piece of glass and fail to maintain consistent thickness throughout, you'll have some bad distortion anytime you look through it - imagine prescription glasses or looking through the bottom of a shot glass
