came out to this i was in advanced auto and when i came out i seen this, i have insurance to cover it, but my question is will a good body shop be able to match the paint or will they have to paint the whole car so the red matches?

A good body shop should be able to match the paint, but will have to probably cover a lot of the car to blend in, especially if any body panels are a little lighter red due to sun exposure.
A bad body shop will not be able to match the paint but just tell you that that's not possible and have you rolling around with mis-matched body panels. /rant lol

Go get a estimate on repair at body shop. It will be fixed for less than a standard deductible. And your rates won't go up. My wife was rubbed on side by a dump truck tire. Dump trucks fault $1200 repair paid for by his insurance . My rates with a clean record went up $900 a quarter between my house, rental properties, boats, cars and trucks.

the scratches go almost down the whole side of the car so i'm guessing they will have to paint the entire passenger side,also i have the WS.6 painted on both front fenders so the passenger side will lose the ws6 and the drivers side will still have it, hope they can save the trans am ss door emblem.

Welcome to my world, getting my car back on Monday, they had to repaint both front fenders, doors and quarter panels, total came out to 2200 bucks but I only pay for 500 deductable. Oh and this happened coming out of a Walgreens......

Cool....car looks damn good man.
Ever since I went into a publix food store down here and came out to find two ice cream sandwiches tossed onto my hood.......its a habit of mine that whenever I park in a so-so area, which I first try to never do, I walk inside, then look out the window at my car for a couple minutes to see if anyone is going to do anything. If they are, they're gonna do it right away.
I guess we have to change how we live, along with scumbag humans in this world.......
Someone is going to be one sorry, begging **** if I ever catch them keying my car, it will get ugly for them.

yeah the body shop did a fantastic job blending everything. the guy who painted my car has over 20+ years experience and also owns a very nice 2nd gen camaro. it also helps that i know him and he knows how i feel about my car ,definitely didn't cut any corners on the repair work, took very good care of my situation
