Default Door magnets wont stick - need help

So I bought a couple big Ron Paul door magnets to put on the doors of my SGM 98 Z28 but they won't stick. I guess the doors aren't pure metal or something.

I'm trying to figure out how to go about getting them to stay on the doors, and I'm a bit worried about anything with adhesives cause I don't want to **** up the paint. Any suggestions?

I travel up to like a hundred regularly fwiw and they'll need to be secure enough to where they don't fly off imo.

Doors are fiberglass. So are the front fenders. front and rear bumpers, berger panel are plastic.

You want to stick something magnetic to the car, rear 1/4 panels are about the only place.

LOL for not knowing the doors are fiberglass. Oh and be prepared to have your car vandalized if you do put those on there. I never put any sort of political stickers on my car....especially if it supports a conservative. Libs and hippies like to ruin peoples nice things.

co-worker got her car keyed for having an "impeach pelosi" sticker on her car.

and we have cameras AND security patrols the parking lots!

They're too big for my rear fenders. Will some sort of tape work?

Will the adhesive on it harm the paint? Is that stuff real strong and secure? I've never heard of it before.

Quarter panels are the only spots that magnets will work. Adhesive will mess up the paint!
You must have some big magnets if they won't fit on the quarters! Btw I am a big Ron Paul fan

id say if they're too big for the rear 1/4.... that should be a sign right there.

Gorilla Glue should hold it. A good coat of wax and it should come right back off should you decided to remove it.

This. Anything political is just asking for someone of the opposite viewpoint to do some real damage to your vehicle. Especially the "tolerant" ones who tolerate everything but the opposite view of their own. No politician is worth potentially thousands of dollars worth of damage to your vehicle.

+1. Or you could try a "temporary" clear paint from Autozone... it should say "Lacquer" on the can, that's temporary and won't mess up your paint. Remember the wax though, Yankee candle wax is best for what you want to do.

LMAO what do you hope to accomplish with political bullshit on your car besides getting it fucked with?

And if you guys think "liberals" are any worse than the redneck sector of conservatives I also find that hilarious. I've seen morons threaten to physically harm/kill people for not supporting conservative views. Hippies are more likely to get stoned and protest themselves to death LOL.

Guess it depends what area of the country you're in which side is crazier.

some trashcans are metal... why do i have a feeling that this thread is some sort of joke? if you cant figure out that the doors are not metal, and you dont think take will harm your car, and you admit to driving over 100 regularly. and why does it have to be on the doors?

I'm not mechanically inclined ...

I've tried putting them on the rear quarter panels and they stick on there, but there's a gap where air would get in and might blow them off.
