New look for the new year

Painted the under side of the wing black at home. Didnt want to have to mess with it after painting the car.

Ready for the spray booth

Alright. Lets do this.

I mixed this silver from waste silvers, with a lot of very coarse sparkling metallic added. Little brighter than the stock silver but close enough for jambs to not stand out.

Clear is down. Let it bake and get back to work.

I forgot to take pictures of painting the sail panel and the bumper(CETA style) satin black.

So the bird decal I got for the hood wouldn't adhere. This is what I ended up with. Will work until I get another one cut locally(Got it off ebay, shoulda known better). Gotte get some lettering for the shaker cut too. Probably "5.7 T/A." Thats my little man who has helped me through this whole project. Just cause I'm so damn proud of him, here's one of him helping with some body work.

Silver bird emblems for the sail panel. Painted the Trans Am lettering black. Painted the chrome on a pontiac emblem(from a grand prix or something. Dont even remember now). Had to heat it up and curve it slightly for it to fit right.

Did some brush work on the front bumper and headlight cover.
Still have lots of little stuff to do. Bumper/fender/door alignment. Headlight adjustment. A little buffing. And a good detail! I have 1.5 inch lowering springs on the way. Window tint next week. I couldn't wash the car due to the fresh paint on the bumper and sail and the pictures were taken with my phone. I apologize for the low fidelity. Just thought I'd share as I am very excited to have my car looking good again. I will get some good pictures up after I wash this beast.

Maybe the new cut out , definitely bigger in size will help tie it.
As of now, I 'd say the shaker painted silver would look better.

Springs!

Out with the old...

In with the new.
I will finish the driver's side tomorrow morning. Probably put the back shocks and springs in if I have time.

Assembled. I love having a wall mounted strut tamer.

Driver side done. Front done.

Rear done.

After
And just to throw these in:

139.8dB and crystal clear.
