Satin/Flat black FireHawk
I've been searching for satin colored Trans Ams and have not found much. Mine is not complete yet but getting close. Just thought I would post some pictures see what people think. The engine comp is SOM because I painted it first then changed my mind on the color, but thought it would look good to leave it SOM.
Sorry for the cell phone pics.....

I thought that too... Thats why I decided I'm gonna do stripes on the hood in SOM, and possibly paint the underside of the hood SOM also.

It is single stage no clear needed. The paint job is already almost 2 years old in the pictures, that's how long I have not had time/money to work on it as bad as I want to get it done. But it has been in the shop that long and has zero scratches, has been completely covered in dirt and cleaned right up with just soap and water. I am pretty impressed with the paint, anxious to see how it handles the sun.

Flat black and SOM.. my favorite colors! I know lots of people don't like flat black, but if you like it, then screw it. Looking great so far, can't wait to see pictures when it's finished.

Im betting it will be sexy... I wanna do mine flat black but thats a complete tear down for me.. no way could I get away with having a red engine bay... or could I? Ive seen hot rodders do it on the old Tbuckets and the like...

I'm not sure if I will do anything to the rims. I don't really like the murdered out look. I don't want to smoke the tail lights or corner lights or anything like that. Flat black and tint on the windows is enough black for me. Thought about putting the Firehawk decal back on the doors but in SOM... but haven't decided yet or even gotten that far

looks good im about to do satin black as soon as the paint gets in... what type of paint did you use? im going to use john deere blitz black... i just sprayed my pos dd with it and i like it! so much easier to spray than a bc cc in my opinion... im not sure if i want to put decals back on though....
