Default How hard to replace a 4th gen fender?

Ok, so the paint on my driver side fended is F'd up. Has been since I bought the car. Didn't bother me at the time because the price was right. Since it's the only panel on the car with bad paint, I was thinking of just pulling a fender in good shape from another pewter camaro and swapping it. Now I know when I helped my dad swap both his fenders on his old '79 Z28 it was a royal pain to get everything squared back up again. So anyone who's replaced a 4th gen front fender, how bad was it getting everything back together? Whole day project I assume?

It can be a pain but lack if rust makes it much easier.
