Are you getting the work done by the crackheads at Earl Scheib?

I can. Body work takes some time, I'd prefer them to take a little longer and be sure it is done right

Be patient. You don't want to rush body work and from what you say they're charging you for that amount of damage, I'd be happy if it took two weeks. Good luck with it.

hey everybody, well I got my car back Yesterday! The only thing was that the paint looked a little off!!!..So I took her back to the body shop and they said for me to bring her back on Monday for a re-paint.I was a little pissed, but he said it was the people who gave him the paint that messed up, he just put it on. Anyways he said it would only take a day to sand off the old paint and put on the new paint. What do you all think??

You can't really see anything in that pic. Whats the bottle of Toulene for? Atleast I think thats what it is.

How does the door/quarter gap look? Did they put a new door on it?

I think that for what you paid, you made out like a bandit, especially if they are going to repaint at their cost. I just picked up a 2000 SS that a certain friend of mine is going to repaint in red, color sand, polish and restripe for 2000.00. I'm estatic. It's going to look great sitting next to the Firehawk.

Agreed. You either got it done by someone who loves to work on these cars OR you got it worked on by some cranker who needs some quick money. I hope its the former rather than the latter.

well actually its thinner. and I was using it for cleaning my windows, it looks like they had accidentally misplaced the tape and had what i believe was a little clear coat, also it came with an assload of orangepeel, but I have since wetsanded, and brought it down a bit. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, il try to get some better pics later.

and thanks everyone, Im glad it came out great, btw the paint on the rest of the car looks like crap, I might just end up getting a new paint job. I have this huge scratch on my drivers side that my bros ex gf made when it was his, its as long as the crash that the passangers side had.it extends from the front fender all the way to the rear quarter.plus, it was washed with dish soap and dried with a towels for most of its life, getting the paint to an "alright" finish has been a huge pita!it has unbelievable swirl marks.

your just having hater issues, I took it far so you could see the whole side if you see it from farther yo can see the defect easier.
