How to remove rear window/tint???
I've tried searching for this and can't find any good answers...plus the crappy search function is a POS. I'm repainting my entire car and I want to remove the rear window to paint it the right way. How did you remove your rear window and what tool did you use? Can I use the cable method with the steel cable?
Also, the window is cover with old purplish tint and I would like to remove it before I reinstall my window. Any suggestions on what I can put on there to help the told tint come off easier? Or is a blade, a heat gun and a lot of patiece my best option?
Thanks

It works on tint that isn't very old I guess or tint that somehow doesn't get hard like cement. I broke a razor I mine trying to get it off, the razor wouldn't remove any at all.
Granted, mine was 11 years old......but I have no idea how it got so hard and dry. I almost bought a new back glass till I tried the aircraft paint remover.

I can't swap hatches because the reason for me removing my window is to properly paint the match. I'm doing a complete color change over. I'm bringing this car back to life...hopefully.
