Default What's this glue under...

What are they using as the glue-tar-like black stuff under the center black rail between the t-tops? I'm going to need to repair part of it and want to make sure I buy the correct stuff for when I reassemble it.

See pics...

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

That's just a double sided foam like tape.

it's more than just "foam like". It seems to be more taffy-like.

I guess I'm specifically looking for the product itself.

If its like a hard rubber it probably a urethane ... if its uniform strips and if still soft and sticky its probably double sided tape ... double sided tape that holds mouldings and sufficient on isn't like a foam tape. .. you can run up to a local body shop and they will most likely hook you up with a fee strips of double side for cheap

I've pulled that off before and it was just double sided tape. If yours is tacky I don't know why or what to tell you.
