We have one local Maaco that is known for great work. Have to be careful on small jobs, it can cost as much to do a bumper/hood as a whole car! You should be real pleased with that Suby!

Truck looks good and you are happy that's what matters. Maaco's are privetly owned so Quality will differ from shop to shop. I had a Maaco in Charlotte paint my aftermarket hood and new bumper cover and spray in the fenders. It looks Ok and didn't break the bank. It cost $450ish when all of the "regular" shops wanted $1600. My buddy owns a shop in Jersey and he has always told me that it depends on who is doing the work, not the name of the company. There is also a Maaco in Charlotte that paints Cab's and I would NEVER go there lol.

Wow, especially good considering it's a metallic paint, looks excellent. Did they do the body work prep to, or just the paint?

Ive used 2 different Maaco's in the last few years, though its far from a $4,000 job they do decent job for the money. They do differ in quality from site to site, that's for sure.

Thats exactly right. Thats why i say dont just say no to maaco, but say no to any body shop that does crappy work.

They did it ALL except removing all the stuff. I pulled the windows and bumpers and all that. But all te prep and body work was on them. And yes, the metallic is very even! No runs or anything like that.

I didnt do any of the body work or sanding. All i did was take out the glass and pull the bumpers etc. They did everything else. The $1550 included repairing all the dents, doing all the body work, sealer, primer, and urethane base/clear.

Thanks! Yea this one was handed down to me from my dad. I have a bit of a responsibility to keep it in good shape. He bought it brand new in 89 as a 90 model. Sat down at the dealer and picked out all the options he wanted and what color etc. When he bought it i was 3 years old so he ordered it with the bench front seat so that i could be in my car seat between him and mom up front. I started thinking the truck was awesome around the age of 8 or so after i had seen it do things that no "average" vehicle could do. No, to my young eyes, this was a super truck! Capable of things other lesser trucks could only imagine! My love for the truck grew until dad finally decided that i could take it over when i was about 17 or so. My folks had been long split up and dad was staring to fall on rough times in his personal life. I think he knew that if he didnt give it to me then that i may never get it. After i got the "super truck" I lifted it and put big tires on it and took it out to the woods and mud and such. It didnt take me long to realize thats not what this truck was meant for. So i took the lift back off and put normal size tires back on. Then i got married... So now, im just trying to bring it back to its former glory and make it nice cruiser/camping/"expedition" type truck.
