I'm honestly not sure how it got the name "WS1" hood mod but whatever.
Started with a very poor quality aftermarket WS6 hood

Then i ripped its nose out

Then started hand laying up the new nostrils(this was not fun)

Then opened up the bumper to meet up with the hood.

glued in some wedges to make the nose taller. and added some extra to the top.

Its my daily driver so this process has been in the making for 2 months now. I primed the hood today so ill get some of those pics up soon.

exactly. Two other people have done this that i know of. This gives you a better idea of what it should look like in the end. threw a little black paint on it and washed it.

I like the way that looks but I wouldn't have the ***** to do it to my OEM hood since I've never done fiberglass work
will you be able to find grills for it maybe Firehawk grills? Or are you running it without grills? Looks like it'll be without frills since I don't see mounting points

You know, I have no idea what a raptor hood is, as I'm just starting my research into buying an ls1 based car. But just like with all my mustangs,(see sig) I've always felt more accomplished when I built something myself vs just buying it. I think the hood looks great, and applaud your effort!

It's nice to see a project come to life and finished. Good job so far. Just make tabs in the back, tap them and screw in some grills you make to fit. Don't even have to do honey comb, maybe just little circles or slits or something.

I am honestly tired of messing with it so i am just going to finish it up, so no more modifications for it.
Nope, no hood pins for it.
Here is some primer! this is just 3 thin coats to "lock down" the sand scratches and bare fiberglass
