Default C3 front clip on a 4th gen?

So I have this '94 camaro torn down in my garage that is getting heavily modified. Rear mounted LS1 under glass, AWD, with C5 rear rims in all 4 corners. I'm commited to this build, and I'm currently deployed in Afghanistan.

I've been using the time to reveiw my build, and the thing that keeps bugging me is all the wasted space out front. The car has a long nose, and I'm wanting to find a tasteful way to shorten it up a bit. I'm pretty good with fiber glass, and I think with the front clip of a C3 vette, and some aftermarket 4th gen fiberglass fenders I can end up with something like this....

I think this could shorten my nose up by at least a good 1', and end up giving my car some good lines in the front. I've always liked the C3 front, and might be a good match for the LS1 under glass look the rear of my car will have.

Thoughts......?

This build sounds interesting. Make it home safe so we can see this come to life. I've allways thought an AWD LS1 Fbody would be amazing. I like the look of that C3 front end, almost looks like a lambo or something crazy when attached to the front of the camaro.

Good luck with your build

Perhaps while I'm at it, I could extend the wheel base 8" back. Might look something like this....

This would eliminate any clearance issues I might have with a live axle and the bottom of the engine.

I gotta ask, will all the crazy custom work you are doing why would you want to keep a live axle???
Do a C4 IRS or something.

It's harder to make an irs set-up with an off-set axle than a live axle with the same thing. I'm not even sure what domestic irs might be a good choice for something like that. My engine faces aft with the t-case tward the front under the floor boards.

Check out my thread, it's all in there.

I say leave the body alone. An awd 4th gen is badass, you dont need to kill it with some body work that may not look as great as it does on paper or in your mind. But hell, if you want to go for it.

Do you have a build thread on that awd setup?

That sounds like one of those projects that gets started and never finished. And if it does get finished you might get the kind of stares one might expect after gluing a huge jelly dong to your forehead. But if it lights your creative fire, go for it! Who gives a damn what anybody else thinks.

I think the chops look bad *** and if he can pull it off it will look and drive amazing.
my 2 cents on design tho I've allways wanted to chop the fat bumper off the back of F bodys. Something like a calloway camaro.

heres a quick photoshop job of something along the lines of what I'm talking about. Not to blocky and flow with the front angles of what you're going for.

Here is the Calloway Camaro - Or just google image search it for other angles

It could be worse. He could be putting a 5th gen Camaro front end on an El Camino.
