Depending on how picky you are and how much money you have to blow, this might be the choice method for you. Rustoleum is $27 a gallon and it takes less than a gallon to paint one car.

Here's the playlist in stages as I learned:

It'll work for this project thats for sure!

Yea, me to. I found that there's a whole forum for this process called rolledon.forummotion.com.
They take pride in rolling the whole car. Quit a few on there do spray the Rustoleum on though. Good guys one there helping each other out. They even have projects up years later to show how the paint held up.
Amazing! this will save me money to invest more into my motor![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
I plan to spray this same paint onto the rest of my truck. The Camaro will be next.

You can mix the colors to give it your own touch. I added the "Aluminum" color to give it that metallic look. When you roll or spray it on usually do a 60/40 Paint/Mineral Spirits mix. The mix is the key.
You can also add hardener to make it more durable. It seem to be pretty durable already and sticks well.

You can even clear coat it if you choose to. I chose not to so that it'll be easier to touch up in the future. Plus it looks fine as it is.
I will be spraying this paint onto the rest of the truck. Rolling on this hood was just a test to see how it'd come out.

Oh yes. They definitely have satins. Satins are even easier to do, because they hide imperfections. Like if somebody didnt want to do body work and just slap some color on, satin would be the best choice to hide imperfections.

Fantastic work man.
I remember reading about this awhile back in either Hotrod or Car Craft, where they did it on an old Falcon and it turned out great. I found that forum shortly thereafter and have always thrown around the idea. I bet with a little clear and buff it would really pop.
Don't they offer custom mixing for just about any color?

Yes, I think there are a couple articles on it. There's a guy on a Mopar forum that wrote in a thread that made this go big also.
I havent seen where they mix Rustoleum for you, but I know that Lowes carries a brand of paint that is the same thing and they'll mix it for you. It also costs the same as Rustoluem.
