2002 SS oem spoiler on 98 Z28 question.
I,m picking up a 02 SS OEM spoiler for my 98Z will i have to do the relay thing for the brake light or will it work as long as it was'nt tampered with. And are they LED or regular bulbs or are the LED's only on the after market spoilers? I was going to do a 97 RS 3 piece but decided not to drill into quarters.Found a SS one local for $150.00 figured way easier. Thanks for any reply.

It will plug right in to your existing harness, and the brake light will work just fine. However.. you will need to wire in a relay if you want your ABS and cruise control to work. The car reads the resistance from the bulbs in the 3rd brake light, and if the resistance is not correct it will set off the ABS light (which is why it turns on if one of your bulbs burns out). So to correct for this you can use an automotive relay or a resistor wired into the harness. There is a wiring diagram on shbox.com for the relay method, which is what I used and it worked like a charm.
