Default Started new headlight project

[/URL]
My old set, they were incomplete and came out easily, not to mention falling apart after a year or two. Decided to try again using the 2 BMW projectors and 2 out of a Cadillac catera.

Made a more solid enclosure, trying to use less lexan and more fiberglass to keep the shape right.

Let me know what ya think so far, it's rough but solid and functional.

I don't know if it's just because I'm not used to seeing the headlights like that on a trans am or not, but my attention is automatically drawn to the headlights when I look at the car. I think if you smoked the lense a little it'd look a million times better. Other than that, very good work!

Appreciate the kind words, as for smoking them, I gotta have the light, I did dual projectors so I can run them both and use the bi xenon for my back roads, it's less blinding but still have a choice of bright brighter brightest. I did blackout those covers that were gray so it's less noticeable, but being my daily driver it's small bits at a time. The lenses have become a lot easier make but they are still screw in at this point, I have the black tar goo to stick them on but I have to wait till I can get the lmperfections smoothed out. Would love some opinions from any professionals out there, I notice all the things wrong instantly but I've been working on them awhile. Like the DS headlight isn't curved completely the way it should be. Anyone who wants to see the guts let me know. Thank again for the opinions guys!

Update: painted low covers, and added turn signals, unhooked lower running lights, noticed people weren't able to see my turn signals.

That looks good! How did you go about forming the lenses?

I have a previous thread on how to form the lenses... I believe NPU HEADLIGHTS FOR TRANSAM.

Working on a back plate to keep water off the innards, shows how much I had to cut out to actually fit the low beams.
