Check the tab where the fender mounts underneath in case it is badly bent. Also, if you open the door all the way and look into the hinge area you'll see a bolt in there that adjusts the center "bulge" of the fender. If the center is inward too much the edge of the door can catch it.

Where exactly is it rubbing? Adjusting the fender isn't exactly easy, you have to loosen everything, including where the bumper meets the fender. There are four bolts that adjust the fender/door gap. One on top under the cowl trim, one inside the wheel well for lateral adjustment (must remove inner fender to access), and two on the bottom under the car.

Maybe the birds are different but you don't have to take off all that cowling and the inner fender to adjust the fender on the Camaro. And for simple door rubbing he doesn't need to mess with the bumper to fender bolts either as that won't help. The top bolt is accessible by just opening the hood, the lateral adjustment is in the door jam, and the two of course underneath.

I didn't say he had to take off the cowl, just that the bolt is hidden under it. And yes, I'm going off an LT1 'Bird, so the Camaro may indeed be different. I wasn't suggesting to adjust the bumper, but it is attached to the fender. To properly adjust the whole fender, and if it needs shifting forward or back, all the bolts need to be loosened to accomplish that.

Another thing to check for is to make sure the outer door isn't delaminating from the inner door. This happened to my 01 T/A, but a body shop was able to glue it back together and touch up the paint.
