Default Aftermarket SS Spoiler has no Studs

I bought an aftermakert ss spoiler, unknown name.

The spoiler itself it doesn't have studs that go through the decklid similar to how the stock z28 spoiler does. It just has holes for the studs

I can get studs that go through the decklid and into the spoiler , but will that hold?

any advice is appreciated.

TIA

It should hold as long as the bolts are the correct size. Don't over tighten them or they may break. I had an aftermarket one on my '96 Z but went OEM in my '02.

Mine was the same way, I made a thread about installation, not sure but its in appearance forum somewhere back a couple months. I went to hardware store, bought double ended studs, 1 course 1 fine thread. Course threads carefully screwed into spoiler with loctite, then bolts up like thOEM spoiler did, no problems so far

I did the same thing JDEP162 did but mine was the same thread pitch on both ends as stock. I took the stock one that has the piece that cuts into the spoiler and unscrewed it and checked to see if it would thread into the aftermarket one. When it did I just took it to Lowes and used the board on the wall with all the different threads on it to find the right pitch and picked up two threaded rods a few inches long. Been fine for a couple years. I have no idea who made mine so I know this is of little help.
