Default Is this paint job too much?

Im finally ready to get my firehawk repainted..Its navy blue mettalic.

I took the car in to get a quote today. My hood, passenger fender, passenger, headlight lid, and front bumper all are being replaced due to a minor accident. I have all the parts in my garage. They looked over the car and found on the passenger quarter panel that it had some filler put on in the past that would need to be stripped and repaired. They also said they would have to stripe the doors and both bumpers.

I am bringing a sail panel off an LT1 car for them to replace as well while its getting painted (mine is bubbling).

For them to go back with a stock color they gave me an estimate of $4500... is that a bit high? I asked if they used PPG paint and they said no that they use a "higher quality" brand, I cant remember the name but it started with an "L". Anyone know what brand paint they might be using?

4500 seems reasonable. My moms 73 nova was just repainted by guys who work at a shop on the side at his house and it was 3800 i think for it . Painted the factory nova green . You can always haggle with them .

Have you seen any work they have done before? and do they offer a warranty . Hate to have it painted and have it bubble in 8 months down the road.

They are the most reputable shop near where I live. They do AMAZING work. They offer a 10 year warranty.. not sure what that warrant actually covers though.

That's a fine price if they are disassembling, and all that other good stuff. A 10 yr warranty is fantastic, that alone makes it worthwhile.
I can't think of any paint brands that start with an L though, There is Dupont, PPG, Shermin Williams, HOK and Matrix off the top of my head. Matrix is not so good, and I am not a fan of the Dupont either. I liked PPG and really like Shermin Williams though.

Probably Lesnol which is Sikkens, good stuff. I spray Sikkens at the lexus dealer here I work at. $4500 is a decent price imo, depends on what their labor rate is which is different everywhere.
