you could Plasti-dip it, I've seen someone on here do that, but IMO anything other then the stock "plastic" black looks horrible on any car.
I think I've seen one or two cars on here that smoothed the rough surface and went gloss black and I still didn't like it, some things should just be cleaned up and restored back to stock if you ask me.

SEM brand plastic spray. Color 1501 which is called Landau Black. It is a satin type finish is the closest to a new part. Actually cannot tell the difference once sprayed. Best out come would be to buy a pint and use spray gun but, you can buy it in aerosol can as well. I think the plastidip will turn into a mess in the end. By all means don't use any kind of gloss. That would be tacky.

body shops often use "trim black" that comes in spray cans to freshen up faded black trim pieces, mirrors and stuff like that. Also if you are spraying parts that are bare plastic, a adhesion promoter should be used so the paint will not flake off down the road. I guess this doesn't apply for plastic dip lol

had mine painted and cleared, look like crap, cracking and peeling, would it be easier to use something to remove the paint or just get a used one? Everybody's here looks good....
