'14 Z/28 Octane paint code??
'14 Z/28 Octane paint code?? Does anyone know how to get the paint code for the white matte-metallic called Octane that was on the first '14 Z/28 that GM debuted? I saw it on a '63 Vette yesterday at a car show. Pictures don't do that color justice!

are the only colors I saw listed as available for the new Z28: Red Hot, Black, Summit White, Silver Ice and Ashen Gray exterior colors. Might only have been for the show, not a production color. It's a shame cuz I dig the mat pearl white!

I didn't see anything about a paint code or even see it called "octane" white either. I believe all the vehicles I posted pics of were GM concept cars and there for probably hand painted what ever color the build team wanted. The fact that they all are a pearl flat white (all look like the same pearl white to me) and the HHR was gloss white, makes me think that it's most likely a factory color like what comes on malibu, tahoe..... just with a matte clear on it. I think subaru did the same thing with a flat pearl white on a few race cars. but again, just a guess.

Octane was what they were calling the interior accent paint color.
GM chief Al Oppenheiser said the Z28 paint is a 40% gloss flat white and is not going to be a production color.

anyone think the z/28 emblems look goofy? the z doesn't line up with the 28 on the bottom. it should be bigger like the old one. and the splitter on the front looks retarded. The color should be a production color though. that part is awesome.

It is probably their White Diamond(WA800J) with a satin clear. Someone said it was 40% gloss which would give it a little shine, more satin than matte. The White Diamond does have violet pearl in it as well but if you went full matte any pearl would be near pointless. The biggest problem with a satin/matte finish is that you can't buff it. Any minor scratches have to stay or be recoated.
