OP, I'm curious why you started with such a rough car to start? When 4th gen T/A rollers in descent shape can be had a relatively good price.
Obviously you have the skills to bring the body back to better than factory condition. So maybe it's just a good chance to hone your skills....?

You've done in 2 months what it took me like 10 years to build. I'm glad you're all about that Viper green. Those cars come in several very nice colors. Mine is Viper blue. My paint is also wetsanded and polished to perfection with zero orange peel.

Awesome work man! Glad to see a car that went from near scrap to work of art. A buddy is currently building up my 30th TA for me but I started with all the chassis work first. The plan is to set-up everything from rearend to interior to motor and then pull everything out again once it's all mocked up and ready. I have always wanted to clean up the body really well such as you did with yours. I want to shave the door handles, gas door, antenna, etc and also clean up the body lines like you did. I want to repaint the car white and have the 30th blue stripes painted on instead of decals. Here are some semi-current pics of my car... (its a work in progress)
I was gonna make a build thread but I slacked off and forgot to make it when we started the build.

I don't want seem like I'm drowning the thread with a lot of pics but I'm just trying to take only main pics of it all. If anyone has something they feel I missed or want detailed info let me know. I like making these threads so I can use it for refrence for me. I might be selling this car when I'm finished with it or at least just to see what it will go for anyways thanks for all the compliments.

Your car sure is nice!! I wouldn't mind one bit taking a few pics with them together. Same goes here, if your ever around dfw. Feel free to stop on by my shop. I've been dealing with cars since I was around 5 years old soooo I have some experience under my belt.

Got the rear hatch done.
Color sanded and buffed out.
I painted the underside glass of the hatch where the tint won't stick to.
The top part of the hatch how it looks. Blends in like a factory look.now when it gets tint it won't have those bubbles showing through. Little details is what makes a big diffrence.
Looks great!!
What it looks like in the sun. Don't know what to call this color. The Joker green, the hulk green, maybe green of greens ha ha. Whatever it is its gonna look great. I've got another mix green I did that I liked but, maybe for something else in the future that I can spray. I'm happy with it.
Painted these little pieces. I've got quite a bit of other pieces ready for paint that I need to spray right now.

2/4/16
Painted spoiler today. I had to respray the LH door. A little setback but got it done.
I'm about to try out some new technology on the Trans Am with these new sanding discs. This will be pushing the limits of color sanding to a whole new level, on top of how I like to double color sand the clear after some time passing in order to let the clear settle in.
I'll get pics If I can finish up tonight.
Love what I do!
Result is unreal! You just can't see the shine like you do in person.
I usually would wait a little bit longer before double color ssnding. But I just had to try out the new discs. Pricey but very worth it. I'm sold on it.
RH door reflection after double color sanding.

1500 Carborundum
2000 Mirka
3000 Carborundum
4000 Mirka
5000 3M
On a build like this or high end cars, I cut and buff the car first time up to 3,000 grit. And then I'll let the clear settle in for a few weeks or longer and then I come back and re-cut the clear with the 5 step once more. But most people are beyond pleased with just a single color sand with a 2000 grit finish
