Default Replacing door

My car has had so many window motors replaced that the holes got enlarged and the window had a gap, I had a body shop make a plate for the door but didn't fix it totally there still a small gap where water gets in.
So I found a replacement door the same color and if it looks good I'm gonna get it and replace it but need to know what the procedure is for this? Any help would be appreciated as I've never done this .

I haven't done it but I've been reading about and will be doing the same in the future. You unhook all the electric. Obviously take the inner door skin off first. Then unhook the hinges (at the body side). Highly recommend you use a magic marker to mark where they are at. Support the door after you remove the hinges as you have to pull all the electrical out through the door where the tube connects from the body.

Make sense?

They are really heavy and awkward. Two sets of hands will be very helpful. I damn near dropped mine when trying to install it myself. I did it, but it wasn't fun.

That's good to know, as big as they are , I'd probably drop that and break it.
I'm gonna check out the new one soon and see what condition it's in.
