Default Heat gun to bend fiberglass hood

Many years ago I was clumsy and thought I closed my hood shut but unfortunately not all the way and when I got on the highway the wind bent the driver side about 1cm higher than the passenger side before I realized. The hood is a ws6 fiberglass reproduction hood. My plan is to take a heat gun to the affected area from the bottom side, then add weight to the top in the hopes of breaking the "memory" shape, hopefully not the hood. Any support/cynicism appreciated.

You may still get some change with heat, but pretty much the whole hood needs to get hot enough. May get just as much heat into it running the car for a while , Shimming the pass side up & weighing the drivers side down.

You likely may need a pair of hoodpins/ latches at this point.

Tried it once and wrecked the paint. Glass didn't reform either.
