Default Lt1 vs ls1 front clip chassis differences?

Not sure if this is the right section..... I was wondering if there are any differences between the 93-97 and 98-02 chassis or front end clip, besides cosmetically? Are the chassis identical? I damaged my front radiator support and have a Lt car laying around and was going to swap rad supports if everything matches up dimensionally. Thanks

I have a parts list for the 4th gen Firebird, and the radiator supports are a different part number between 93-97 and 98-02. 93-97 is 12515647 and 98-02 is 12455736.

Lots of people do lt1-ls1 style front clip swaps. Everything structural like the core support is physically the same, even down the the bolt hol locations iirc. The only difference is the brackerty that actually holds the front bumper/fenders, headlights in place is different. I did a 98+ front clip swap on my 97 camaro and everything practically bolts on. I've owned a firebird as well and they are structually the same as the camaros also. Same core support, just different brackets etc.

^^ Partially correct. The 93-97 cars have a hump on the top of the core support where the LS1 lid sits, while it's flat on 98-02 cars. You will run into hood-lid clearance issues if you use an LT1 core support.

this^^^^

and the bottom of the bumper i believe will not line up as the ls1 is a bit longer than a lit1 bumper.

The bottom of the core support is exactly the same. I have an LT1 front end on a 99 body, and the bumper attaches the same. The difference is in the brackets that bolt to the core support.
