Base coat color?
Did a little searching on the google and couldn't find much on it. I'm wanting to get the color that is under my car. I guess that is the base coat I'm looking for. Not sure where to find it and I would prefer not painting the underside black like everybody else.
The car is pewter if that helps any.

Good to know. I figured I'd just get some mixed up at my local shop.
I was looking at these folks too. Anyone ever use their products?

"Base coat" is the cars OEM color reduced with basemaker which makes it sprayable usually 1:1 ratio.
So to get the color under you car go to paint supply house and order however much paint you need based off the WA number which tells the shop how to mix your exact color mix it with the basemaker also purchased at paint shop then mix and spray it and the end result will be the factory color/sheen seen under the vehicle. There is no clear applied under the vehicle or under the hood the clear is what turns that base color into your shiny exterior color.
