I'm looking for a door shell for a 98 firebird do you guys know if the 93-97 doors work with the 98? I heard the 93s-97s have 3 bolts and the 98s plus have 2 bolts do you guys know if it'll still fit properly with a 93 door?

Just replace the whole door instead of just the outer door skin. I just went through the same thing. I used a door off a 95 on my 02. Everything is the exact same.

How was changing the electronics to the new door, did everything work properly after?

What electronics? The door locks and power windows are all the same.

Unplug everything on your way there is no soldered wires inside.You can remove your window easily but you need a second hand to help you to remove the window without damaging it.

Update for you. If you swap the door, swap your door lock mechanism as well. My car being an 02 had the retained accessory power shut off built into the door lock mechanism. The 95 that I got the door off of did not. The 95 had the same door lock mechanism shell, even had a place to insert the plug for the RAP, but there were no pins inside that slot to actually connect to so my car was not seeing that I was opening the door.
