Default filling plastic???

Ok guys, this isn't fbody specific but it's paint/body specific. I'm working on my 1999 tahoe right now and I'm cleaning some things and painting some. I want to clean up my stock airbox appearance. It's got some grooves in it I'd like to fill to smooth it out for paint. I was thinking possibly bondo, but some of the guys on the truck Forum I'm on advised against that but never offered other options.

So, what would you use? I'll post a pic later if need be.

Look into 3M two part epoxy like their panel bond or semi rigid epoxy. Great stuff and with work for your application. 3M, Lord Fusor, Evercoat all have their variants of what your looking for. Bondo/filler won’t last and will most likely shrink and or crack.
