Default Spoiler Tip Cracks

In this old post from 2019-2020 I was asking about this.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/paint-bod...ks-2000-t.html

The spoiler was repainted shortly after that, and now the cracking is back again. Does anyone have an opinion whether there is a hollow part inside and water is in there, or some kind of expansion contraction more at the tips? Or maybe it just needs a good epoxy primer and done PROPERLY (!) and it wouldn't be cracking like this? Does anyone know if the spoiler is in two parts and if it's hollow or not?

I'm having an issue with the deck lid also (bubbling paint where the rear seam is) but that is because the seam is letting moisture into the panel and it needs to be taken apart and resealed properly and get the water out of there. At least that's what I was told.

Seems to be a fairly common issue. Might need a quality body filler over the top for a better surface for the paint to adhere to.

Default wannafbody !

Thank you for the reply! I wasn't aware other people have had this issue.

The shop is asking his paint supplier to look at it for any suggestions.

Otherwise if no other ideas they're going to use the best epoxy primer they can find.

Have you ever heard of water vapor getting into the rear hatch seam, causing bubbling on the edge of the hatch?

I've got hatch bubbling going on too.

I think the bubbling issue might involve the glue or solvents used in manufacturing. Bubbles on the sail panel are quite common. I've seen bubbles on some Corvettes as well.

Yes, my sail panel had that issue,

It was replaced with the sail panel from a 95 Camaro.

So far the new sail panel is great!
