Update......DENIED

Anyone have theirs' approved by Pontiac or GM so I can notify the Better Business Bureau..I need your claim # also.

If anyone has had it repaired and approved then there is precedent guys, and they'll have a hard time justifying authorizing one but not another. Area manager claimed my car was over 5 years old (5 yrs 2 mos), but this is total bull.

Got Pontiac Customer Service on the phone, and here is their position:

DENIED.....Paint issue not covered beyond 36/3 yr warranty!

Guys........good luck, but if I find a claim # approved RM or PONTIAC by ANYONE, BBB here I come! If anyone can help, please send me a PM

Thanks
Mark

Did you explain to them it's not the paint, but the glue under the paint? That's why the roof panel has to be replaced.

She didn't care about cause/effect, although I did explain the technical problem and well-documented cases.

Plain and simple.....they don't Give a S...t! I've NEVER had any luck w/Pontiac Customer service, and useless as you know what IMHO

What infuriates even more is the Area Manager didn't even bother to ask "let me take a look at it and see how bad it is".....just plain DENIED PERIOD!

Great customer service........they get my monthly middle-finger award!

Pontiac customer service fixed mine for free, the car was just a lil over 3 years old tho. Did you give them the TSB#? I'll look and see if I have any paperwork but not sure.

Yes, and original owner, but w/reported 73K miles and 5 yrs 2 mos old.......they said flat out NO. Even told them it was garaged kept and NOT exposed to the elements.
Now if I had left if outside, I figure it would have happened much sooner, but since this developed over time, I am SOL it appears.

I tried every angle in the book and explained to the woman of the TSB, and all she said is that the TSB is a "how to repair" for dealerships. Such BS! So they admit there was a pre-existing problem and did nothing about it!

Sail panel comes unpainted. Usually painted to match the car. Second owner makes trying to get this done free that much harder.

Call and ask if you can still have it done. They will only fix the sail panel.

Scott is a rep with GM not customer sevice. I didnt go through him but talked to him about it and he knows all about the bubbles in the roof. Just call and talk to him about the bubbles.

They need to see the car so they will send you to a dealership to view the car to see if its worth fixing.

Know one should give up trying to get this fixed. This should never happen to our cars at all.
