Default aftermarket fenders

Hi , Iam doing a front end conversion on my 95z to a 98. my question is do after market fenders line up good. I was told to stay oem, because after market is no good. is this true. If after market is ok, then which brands are the best ? also what about bumper cover. I dont want to find out the hard way. thanks.

Hit or miss, sometimes good, sometimes bad! I've seen stuff that fit as good as factory.

I have to agree. Sometimes they are okay sometimes not.
But almost all the time you can make them fit right with some work and time.
BTW usually the oem stuff is always thicker and more sturdy. OEM fenders are a dime a dozen around here, since all the v6 and v8s use them they shouldn't be hard to find and cheap at the local yards.

I just had to replace my driver fender and front cover. I elected to go with certi-fit stuff. $89 total for both. They fit amazingly well. Only flaw is the front cover has a slight ripple where it meets the fender. Heating it up and forming it will fix the problem. Good purchase in my book.

Thanks for all the input, I think I will pay the extra for the oem and not have to worry about making it fit.
