Default Stock SS hood fitment ???

I have an 01 SS, just wondering if other people have the same problem with the the corners of the hood up by the wiper cowl sitting up a little higher than the fender, its only on the driver side and it isnt off by much , just enough to bug me......I have seen a few others with the same problem, is it just SLP not taking their time to adjust it completely or what......Anyways, what would be the best way to go about fixing it and how have u guys fixed it. Thanx guys

i have an aftermarket ss hood that does the same...not really much at a glance but if you get down and look you notice it....btw having a nut for the saftey latch that fell off is a P.I.T.A. you can probably loosen some screws and persuade the fenders up gently....thats what the shop did for a lil better fitment

It was never in an accident, i bought it from my Dads friends (Old married couple) and we have known them since they bought brand new, it was basically a weekend cruiser, plus i checked the carfax and had the car checked out real good just to make sure before i bought because i already went through that **** with a TA

Mine does the same thing. Nobody notices it though, except for me.

I have the same problem with an oem ss hood I bought from a guy. Everywhere else it fits nicely, except for the two corners. I had to push down on them while tightening up the bolts to get it to come down a bit. I'm pretty sure if you take it to a shop, they can fix it for you. They may have to make the holes bigger for more play in the hood or brackets. I'm waiting to get some more cash to get it painted and fixed professionally, so mine is fine at a distance but bugs the **** out of me because I know about it.
