having done this a few times. first thing you will need to be ready for is completely stripping the car! every panel , even the roof. ,hatch ,hood fenders. complete interior, harness' suspension ,motor, exhaust . it will be a shell when you are finished. hey its either do it the right way or the cheap way and regret it later!

ditto, If I had to paint my whole car, it would certainly not be a color it could have come from the factory as.

50th anniversary C5 maroon, or 350Z metallic red, would be my choices.

Go a custom color if your going to spend all the time and effort to paint every piece of it. As someone else said try out a metallic color, such as the monteray metallic used on f-bodies, or the 50th annv. red, or even sunset orange metallic.

Whats that GTO color? Spice red metalic?

If you have a red car, then go with a custom red color, same goes for other colors.

Black is awsome since black engine bays look nice etc...

There was a similar color to the dark red metallic on these cars from the factory, not sure what yes. I think they look great! My cars white and I really want a different color, but it aint happening, too much work and not enough time!

I believe it was either monterray maroon metallic or maple red metallic that came on f-bodies. Very nice color too.
