how long to wait for wet sand?

Question how long to wait for wet sand?

hey guys how long do i have to wait to wet sand my factory camaro grill?
i pinted it yesterday morning and i used 1 coat of adheashion promoter 2 light coats of black primer 2 coats of gloss black and 3 coats of clear.
ill use 2000 grit paper the a good buff job lol

Depending on the temp the grille is in right now and what clear you used, anywhere from 24-48 hours is fine. If it were me and because it's a small piece, I would wait the 48 hours to be sure the clear is cured enough to sand. Hopefully it's been in a temp of at least 70 degrees or so.

i left it in the sun yesterday and it was about 70 plus out side and i used a duplicolor spray can

OK, well I would be VERY careful wetsanding the rattle can stuff. It's usually a lot thinner than 2 part clearcoat. So proceed with caution. Does it really need wetsanded?

I wouldn't touch rattle can stuff with a buffer. It never really gets hard since it has no catylist, and can be smeared off easily by the heat and friction of a buffer.

well i have a porter cable
ill use a yellow pad and some mezerena intense polish.
i painted it and buffed it once on it look very slick then i hit some thing on the road that scuffed it prety bad so i just re did it again
i just dident know how long to wait
the car sat in the garage for about a month after i painted it because i was out of town then when i came home i sanded and buffed it
