HERES THE DEAL!!! to everyone that interested in knowing it and if your like me stuck with it and ok get ready ..... ur gonna have to dig in your pocket dough which is b.s. anyhow you have to buy a new fiberglass panel get your bodyshop to rip the old one off and get all the old glue off underneath the old panel ( thats what's seeping thru the fiberglass panel and bubbling your paint) and get them to install the new one by the tsb instructions then paint and your set! Now bad thing is cheapest i've found the panel is $451.00 shipped to my door then you gotta figure the other stuff and labor and paint and i got 2 cars to do this to lol .....really makes me think about buying the new camaro ...probably wont being as gm has known about this problem for awhile now and wont resolve it to all f-body owners like me and everyone else that has the problem and are stuck so they have to pay outta their own pockets!!!

I bought the whole panel on ebay for 150 shipped to my door. It is a genuine GM part. Comes primered. Great deal

I have a '00 and mine does it once in a while. I think I have only noticed it twice now and both times it was very hot and humid. Under normal conditions it's not visible or just barely visible if you know what to look for.

My car was a former flood vehicle so I had no chance of getting GM to fix my 02. I just bought the part and have the car in the body shop to get the bumper, hood, fenders painted and the roof replaced. It is a buddy of mine doing the work. 1300 for all the paint and labor and it cost me 401.70 for the part from the GM dealer (wholesale).
My car had a couple of bubbles last year but under the lights it looks like the whole panel is covered with them. I should have my car back on Tuesday. The SS hood was a bitch as my buddy said it had lots of coats of paint on it.

do not try to use a good used panel as the old glue has softened the panel, then by using new glue it will soak through, i got in a accident dealer put new qtr panel, door, and reused the panel, 8-9 months later bubbles came to surface, insurance company was pissed at the dealer did this, i showed them the bulletin, then i took it to a better shop, the quality of work was way better than the dealer.forgot, the panel did not have bubbles before the accident

Oh yea, my 2000SS whole roof is fubar'd but hey since they won't fix it I just pass it off to others as quality GM work. They have this look of WTF? Story ensues and I hope a lack of future GM buyers. I figured since they wanna F#@$ me I would return the favor.

This is the exact reason GM is on the verge of going out of business. They dont support there product to the few that are still buying their products. Needless to say I love my car but it is my last GM car. To tell someone who has 15,000 miles on there car that it is out of warranty and not fix it is rediculous. I am glad my pontiac dealer was a stand up business and fixed it otherwise I was going to drive it through the front window I was so pissed off about the entire situation.
When you spend as much money as you do on a new car you expect quality. Toyota and Honda gets bashed on here a lot but my next car will definitly be a Honda. It wont be a sports car because I cannt afford 80K on a car but at least it will drive to 250K without even a hint of getting old.

I show mine to everyone I know to swing their preference. I figure just in my immediate family I have cost GM three sales. At least one here at work. I just love the bubbles and plan to use them for the best cause.
Car shows in the summer heat should get some good attention. "WTF is wrong with this guys roof??? Its having an o'gasm"
