Default Got some estimates for front-end repainting...questions

Removal, sanding, polishing, base coat clear coat for the following parts:

Hood
Bumper
Headlight Covers
License plate cover

$1500

Hood
Bumper
Headlight Covers
License plate cover
Fenders
Mirrors

$2500

Damn that's a lot to spend on a front-end repaint...makes me wish I had bought a car without a rock-chipped front end Then add to that a new windshield later when I feel like shelling out the $ for that too. At least it doesn't show in pictures

That was the average quote from 2 places that were within ~$200 of each other. My third option is to check with my uncle...he used to do paint and body work for a living and is restoring a Camaro...maybe he could use the money.

What do you guys think? Is it too much or about right?

sounds like my high quote, sometimes if someones too busy they will give you an outragious quote just so they dont have to deal with it, but my quote was for the whole front end for 1100 dollars

Yeah I am going to talk to my Uncle. It would be more fun helping do my own car anyway. I really can't see dropping that much coin on the front end of my car when I have other things planned.

They said its almost all labor though, mostly sanding and polishing.

Well I'm not sure what to do. My Uncle is busy this summer with 2 projects so that won't work.

$2500 for the front end is what both shops want, which is ridiculous.
