Sounds like it may have to be stripped and repainted, where ever you have cracking. Once you post some pics I would be better able to tell you.

those arent spider cracks.... spider web cracks are caused by stress... ie a bump not enought to crack the door but just enough to crack the paint... or you get spider webs when the eurathane bumpers start to get old and they dry out and crack... thats somthing called paint checking... also called crows feet i believe... (correct me if im wrong) i think that is cuased by poor undercoats and really the only way to fix it is to sand all the way down probably in most cases to bare metal and start fromscratch,,, etch prime, primer surfacers, sealer, paint, clear... if you just try to sand alittle and repaint over that thell come right back probably wont even cover... hope this helps ya... good luck

I saw that kind of paint defect in late 70s, early 80's B-bodies my family owned back in the day. I thought it wasn't able to happen much anymore but I see I was wrong.

That's paint checking from either laquer, or single stage enamel with no hardener, or bad hardener. That's not factory paint I guarantee it. To fix it, all the affected paint has to be removed and the panel needs to be re-primered and repainted.

really dont be... so far all of the cars iv owned before have either been hit or at least had some paint workon them.... youd be damn lucky to find a used car that hasnt had somekind of body work or paint work done... we get cars all the time at work that only have 5000 miles we just did an 07 santa fe with 1000 miles on it... and it was hit HARD... the only thing you can hope for is that it was repaired correctly... in this case i dont know... i have seen base clear jobs do this tho its not jsut single stages... at least i repeaired a hood on an s-10 that had this and it was base clear not single stage... but i doubt that is factory paint.... factory would more likely peel or bubble before that...
